What is it about that fucking Pogues track? I can't stand another spin of contemporary xmas crap like Bing & Bowie's "Little Drummer Boy", McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime", Petty's "Christmas All Over Again" etc. etc.
Yet I never tire of "Fairytale", and apparently no one else does either. Just what is it about that song?
Kirsty Maccoll? Yeah, gotta be her. Kills me everytime the music swells and she belts out 'they got cars big as bars, they got rivers of gold'
