


[In compiling my Best Albums of 2008 some weeks ago, I was surprised to find that Sweden's TUPELO HONEYS seemed insistent on claiming the top spot. After a while, I sort of started to like the idea. It was, after all, a solid indie-pop album. Male-female vocals. Melodies & hooks aplenty. Fine, then. Count me in. That is, until I realized that their album actually came out in 2007. And this is the way that life has of shattering our dreams and waylaying our best-laid plans.]
