'Tis winter, 'tis true. But 'tis not a time for distemper or discontent...'tis not a time for recrimination or regret. No, 'tis a time to turn one's cheek... for forgiving sins... for making peace. A time to bury strife by righting wrongs... for dancing... laughing... seasoned, salty songs. A time to resecure the ties that bind... a time, in short, for auld lang syne.
So, as you hang your stockings with care not coal... as you get crocked on 'nog and kiss 'neath mistletoe... as you play games with reindeers, dreidels, or Festivus poles... please savor these ghosts of days drained gray (BEST OF OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, and DECEMBER 2006). When 2014's sun comes up -- as come up it must -- there'll be tunes anew just as sure as Rudolph's gay...

Autumn befalls us, causing me to yet again repair to my lair of musty mixes (BEST OF JULY, AUGUST, and SEPTEMBER 2006) in my never-ending quest to separate men from boys; wheat from chaff; cat's meow from cat's pajamas. And I'll be a monkey's uncle if you should come to judge the consequent collection of chants, carols, and canticles as anything less than the bee's knees and/or the dog's balls...

To commemorate this first day of summer, Anno Domini 2013, I have strenuously re-immersed myself in my BEST OF APRIL, MAY, and JUNE 2006 mixes and selected the subsequent 21 cuts as best representative of my tastes at the time. These are the ones that still bring the vim & the vigor... these are the ones still rich with piss & with vinegar...

I decided to take a temporary, two-day break from my ever-consuming pursuit of new tunes in order to engage in a nostalgic gambol down Memory Lane. The subsequent mix has been freshly-distilled from my BEST OF JANUARY, FEBRUARY, and MARCH mixes from the year 2006. These are the ones that still row and/or float my boat... the ones that still knock off my socks, blow back my hair, and blow up my proverbial skirt...
