Former Mercury Prize nominees HARD-FI are back with their follow-up to 2005's hard-popping STARS OF CCTV. ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (released in the UK yesterday, I do believe) seems less catchy than its predecessor on first and second listen(s). Perhaps, like so many sophomore efforts, it's striving to be "deeper" and "more meaningful." Yeah, well, whatever.
