Omaha-by-way-of-Athens-by-way-of-Alabama's AZURE RAY have been out of business for four years now, but their music lives on -- slow, dark, and pretty.

So, back in time we go, to let MARIA TAYLOR and ORENDA FINK beguile us, albeit bittersweetly....

I do love their seperate projects, Maria solo / Orenda heading 'Art In Manila', but I miss them terribly as Azure Ray. Their final album 'Hold On Love' was start to finish fantastic and, in my opinion, the pinnacle of their collaborative works. It's as if they quit the very moment they finally got it all figured out. Nice post -- good to see I'm not the only one who misses Azure Ray. -f-
