What becomes of a band that loses its two claims to fame? For PHANTOM PLANET, those claims were semi-celebrity drummer JASON SCHWARTZMAN ("Rushmore") and the title-track tie-in ("California") to a hip, "hot" show ("The O.C."). But Schwartzman's gone Hollywood. And "The O.C." sleeps with the fishes. So, what's a band to do?Just keep releasing albums, apparently.
