AIR TRAFFIC

If you don't like today's tuneage, don't blame me -- blame TORR. He was the one who got me listening to some recent first-releases by British bands.

AIR TRAFFIC is a four-piece from Bournemouth, which apparently is a city in England, not a pensive Matt Damon facial expression. Their first-release is FRACTURED LIFE. "Charlotte" is a spiky little pop-rocker -- not life-changing, by any means, but enough to keep you entertained for two-and-some minutes. "No More Running Away" starts off with some nice, thumping drums before piano & synthesizer overswarm them. Think mellow, latter-day MANIC STREET PREACHERS (with maybe just a touch of SPRINGSTEEN's "Secret Garden").
