ALPINESTARS

I just recently re-discovered ALPINESTARS while combing through some old mix CDs. Today's tunes all appear on their 2002 album WHITE NOISE. To the best of my knowledge, they haven't released any new material since then.

These guys (GLYN THOMAS & RICHARD WOOLGAR -- though Thomas is now going by LUCIEN CAINE) took crap from some quarters for being so deeply indebted to AIR and NEW ORDER. Even so, this stuff makes for some graceful, chilled-out pop-electronica.
