THE RAKES

London's THE RAKES will be releasing their follow-up to 2005's CAPTURE/RELEASE on March 19. Entitled TEN NEW MESSAGES, the album will be introduced by first single "We Danced Together," which I'd have to rate as the best song on the record.
THE RAKES, of course, should not be confused with fellow English outfit THE BRAKES. Or BLOC PARTY, MAXIMO PARK, or THE VIEW, for that matter. Which is to say: this post-punk, neo-Britpop thing may finally be beginning to run its course....
